All carpet cleaning and rug cleaning companies are NOT the same.  Many companies use only one or two steps to clean your carpet.  Here at Jonquil, we use a minimum of 8 steps in our cleaning process to give you the maximum soil and spot removal.

OUR CARPET CLEANING PROCESS:
1. Assessment

This allows us to identify concerns and set clear expectations prior to cleaning.

2. Dry Soil Removal

This is one of the most important part of the cleaning process. We pre-vacuum all surfaces to be cleaned using CRI certified commercial-grade vacuums equipped with HEPA filters. This prepares the fibers for preconditioning and hot water extraction cleaning.

3. Pre-Conditioner

Application of pre-conditioner spray to break down break down soiling or sticky substances left behind by spills or foot traffic.

4. Agitation

Agitation helps increase the effectiveness of the pre-conditioner that has been applied. For areas that are heavily soiled areas we use a counter-rotating brush machine* for a deeper clean.

5. Hot Water Extraction

Clean the carpet using a hot water extraction system. A rinsing agent is utilized in the cleaning process to make sure the pH balance of the carpet is returned to neutral, which helps the carpet to feel soft and residue free.

6. Apply Carpet Protector (optional)

Hot water extraction cleaning can remove some of the original carpet protector (i.e. Scotchgard) from the fibers, therefore it is recommended by carpet manufacturers to re-apply carpet protector after cleaning. This helps the carpet fibers to maintain resistance to spills or stains, and makes easier to clean in the future.

7. Final Grooming

Using a carpet rake we “groom” the carpet. This works the carpet protector in while positioning the fibers to dry in an even pattern.

8. Speed Drying

We will set up carpet dryers as we exit a room to cut down on drying time. 

9. Final Inspection

Final walkthrough of cleaned surfaces to ensure the client is pleased with the outcome.

WHICH CARPET CLEANING METHOD IS BEST?

Unfortunately, there is a lot of confusing and misleading information out there.  Who can you trust?  A good place to start is the carpet manufacturers themselves.

 

Most manufacturers – including Shaw Industries, the leading manufacturer of carpet in the world – recommend the hot water extraction method. Jonquil specializes in this highly effective technique of hot water extraction and uses it as the primary method of carpet cleaning in homes across Smyrna, Vinings, Mableton, Buckhead, and the greater Atlanta area.

 

But we go one step further…we vacuum all areas prior to cleaning and apply a pre-conditioning pre-spray that will begin to loosen and break down soiling prior to rinsing.  These two preliminary steps are included in our service as we don't feel anyone should have to pay extra for these basic and very important steps. We agitate areas with heavy soiling  to ensure your carpets get a deep cleaning and set  up speed fans, as needed, so your carpet dries FASTER. We’ve found that the hot water extraction method results in cleaner carpets and happier clients. That’s what we specialize in.

*A Counter Rotating Brush Machine is used for heavily soiled traffic areas with a small additional charge applied per room.
