This is one of the most important parts of the cleaning process. Pre-vacuum all surfaces to be cleaned using CRI certified commercial-grade vacuums equipped with HEPA filters. This prepares the fibers for preconditioning and hot water extraction cleaning.

Agitate heavily soiled areas with a soft upholstery brush to work in pre-conditioner. This helps increase the effectiveness of the pre-conditioner that has been applied.

5. Hot Water Extraction
Clean the upholstery using hot water extraction (either a portable or truck mount system). Some fabrics require cold water, in those cases heat is not utilized. We use special upholstery tools to ensure the appropriate volume of water is utilized. A rinsing agent is utilized in the cleaning process to make sure the pH balance of the fabric is returned to neutral.
6. Apply Fabric Protector (optional)
Hot water extraction cleaning removes some of the original fabric protector (i.e. Scotchgard) from the fibers, therefore it is highly recommended by to re-apply carpet protector after cleaning. This helps the fabric to be more resistant to soils or stains and easier to clean in the future.
7. Final Grooming
Periodically we use a special brush to "groom" the upholstery. This helps to evenly work in the fabric protector while evening out the fibers so that the overall appearance is consistent

We will set up air-movers on the upholstery as we finish a section. Less problems occur when fibers are dried quickly.
9. Final Inspection
Final inspection of cleaned upholstery to ensure the client is pleased with the outcome.
